227. Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine when an organic farming scheme payment will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal; the reason for the delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20003/24]
Amharc ar fhreagraAdvance payments to organic farmers commenced on 7th December 2023. To date, approximately 98% of Organic Farming Scheme participants have received advance payments, including this case. However, one of this herdowner's parcels was not included in their advance payment. This will be rectified in the balancing payment.
It is anticipated that balancing payments will have commenced by the end of May 2024.
