132. Deputy Neasa Hourigan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine his plans to ban the live export of livestock for slaughter to non-EU countries; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23032/24]

My Department facilitates the lawful export of animals in line with government policy and in compliance with EU and National legislation.

There are currently no plans to ban the export of livestock for slaughter to non-EU countries.
