Bunaíodh an Coiste chun monatóireacht a dhéanamh ar ullmhacht na hÉireann don Bhreatimeacht, chun anailís a dhéanamh ar a thionchar ar gheilleagar agus ar shochaí na hÉireann, agus chun teagmháil a dhéanamh le páirtithe leasmhara in Éirinn agus thar lear.

Tionchair an Bhreatimeachta
D'fhoilsigh an Coiste a thuarascáil deiridh ar thionchair an Bhreatimeachta. Dhírigh an Coiste ar ghuth a thabhairt do na daoine ar imir an Breatimeacht tionchar orthu chomh maith le réitigh phraiticiúla a chur ar fáil. Bhí sé de chuspóir ag an gCoiste a bheith mar ardán do na grúpaí pobail, do na gnólachtaí agus do na saoránaigh is mó ar cuireadh isteach orthu agus cead a thabhairt dóibh a scéal a insint.
