asked the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that, on the 7th July, 1922, Joseph Ennis was arrested near Prosperous, Co. Kildare, by a party of military, under the command of Patrick Harnon, O.C., Edenderry, who also retained his bicycle, a new Royal Enfield, value £12 10s.; that no charge has since been preferred against him; to ask that Ennis be released and his bicycle returned to him or compensation paid for same.

Joseph Ennis, of Cloncurry, Enfield, was arrested on the 20th July, 1922, on strong suspicion of actively assisting a local Irregular column. His bicycle was taken from him. In view of present conditions arrangements are being made for his release, and enquiries are being made with regard to the bicycle.
