asked the Minister for Defence whether he has received a claim from Mr. Patrick Byrne, general merchant, Bridge Street, Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo, for £104 1s. 3d. for goods supplied to members of the National Forces during the latter part of 1922; whether the claim has yet been investigated, and, if so, with what result, and if he will state how soon the claimant may hope to have a decision on the matter.

Mr. Byrne's claim has been received, and is at present being investigated on the spot by an officer who has been specially detailed from Headquarters for the purpose of clearing up this and other outstanding accounts in the same neighbourhood.
