On a point of personal explanation I wish to say that a remark I made to-day was a misinterpretation of what I intended to convey. It has been intimated to me that what I said created a wrong impression. The words were "that it would be impossible to deny that the culture of the University will affect the life of the country." What I intended to say was "It would be useless to deny that the culture of the University will affect the life of the country."
