Garvie, late "D" Coy., 23rd Infantry Battalion, has been refused arrears of pay as a sergeant, his pay book having been altered without his knowledge, and whether, in view of the fact that this man can show certificates from both his Battalion and Company Commander that he served as a sergeant, the case will be reconsidered.

Owing to a misinterpretation of instructions, Mr. Garvie was paid for a time as a corporal, although he was actually a sergeant. The arrears of pay due to him are now being issued.
