Vol. 9 No. 22

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - EX-SOLDIER'S UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT.

DOMHNALL O MUIRGHEASA

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state why Unemployment Insurance Benefit was refused to William O'Dwyer, 25 Dillon Street, Tipperary, who served in the National Army from August 23rd, 1922, to January 2nd, 1924, and who had twenty stamps to his credit prior to joining the Army.

Mr. O'Dwyer had nineteen contributions paid in respect of his insurable employment prior to his service in the National Army. He has received credit for forty-eight contributions, the maximum number allowable to him in respect of his Army service, and has been paid benefit to the extent of 110 days, which exhausted the amount allowable to him under the Unemployment Insurance Acts, 1920-1924.
