asked the Minister for Finance whether the result of enquiries promised on the 27th November, 1924, in respect of the claim for financial assistance of Mrs. T. Nolan, Nurney, Kildare, widow of the late Guard Nolan, No. 1645, Gárda Síochána, forwarded to him by the Minister for Defence some eighteen weeks ago, is yet available, and if he can state when Mrs. Nolan may expect settlement of her claim.

I have under consideration at present the draft Pensions Order proposed to be made under Section 8 of the Gárda Síochána Act, 1924, and I trust that at an early date it will be possible for me to grant in pursuance thereof some relief in this and other similar cases.
