The Press announcements and regulations for this examination were reissued as stated in the question. The first reissue was made in order to remove a doubt on the part of some intending candidates as to the conditions of eligibility for admission to the examination. A further modification became necessary because of a decision to admit women as well as men to the competition. The circumstances were exceptional, and I do not anticipate that the need for similar changes in regulations issued will arise again.
