Section 5 (2) of the Dáil Eireann Loans and Funds Act, 1924, precludes the refund of subscriptions to the Dáil Loan (Internal), 1919-1920, before 1st June, 1927.
In cases where people in very poor circumstances have these receipts and scrip, will the Minister not make some arrangements to give them an advance on the scrip? I am personally aware of a few cases where there is almost starvation in the homes of people holding some of these certificates?
