CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - MILITARY HOSPITALS.

asked the Minister for Defence if he can state the total number of beds available in St. Bricin's Hospital, and the Curragh Hospital, respectively, and if he can state the number of serving soldiers and pensioners, respectively, in each of these hospitals on the 1st April, 1926.

The total number of beds in St. Bricin's Hospital on the 1st April, 1926, was 256. The number of serving soldiers who were patients there on that date was 99, and the number of pensioners was 11. The total number of beds in the Curragh Military Hospital on the same date was 236, and the number of serving soldier patients was 68. No pensioners were under treatment. In addition, there were on the 1st April, 1926, in St. Bricin's Hospital 24, and in the Curragh Military Hospital 2 ex-service tubercular patients who were awaiting transfer to sanatoria.
