Vol. 21 No. 12

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - WINCHESTER ESTATE (CO. MEATH).

asked the Minister for Fisheries if he will state whether the Winchester Estate, Kilbarry, County Meath, has been acquired for purposes of division amongst deserving people in that district, and if he will see that the people of that district will have first claim.

The Winchester Estate is being acquired by the Land Commission. 244 acres of the lands acquired have been allotted for the enlargement of five small holdings and the provision of holding for four persons in the neighbourhood, including two employees who lost their employment owing to the acquisition of the lands.

The residue of the lands acquired will be divided by the Commissioners in the exercise of their discretion to the best advantage.
