Vol. 21 No. 13

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - OLD AGE PENSION CLAIM (CO. MAYO).

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that Margaret (Keenaghan) Noone, of Groughill, Burnatra, Ballina, Co. Mayo, was passed for the old age pension by the Sub-Committee at Knockalower in September last; that an appeal was lodged against the order of the Committee; if he is also aware that applicant's sister (Catherine Noone) is in receipt of the old age pension for the last 2 years and 9 months; that these two sisters are the only issue of the family and that affidavits by two recipients of the old age pension were lodged with the application.

An appeal on the ground of insufficient evidence of age has been received in connection with this claim, together with testimony on the lines indicated. Further inquiry is being made in the matter, and it is hoped that it will be possible to issue a decision at an early date.
