Vol. 21 No. 18

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - BALLINASLOE PENSION APPLICATION.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health on what grounds the old age pension granted to Bernard Curley, Shehanagh, Menlough, Ballinasloe, was refused.

It was determined on the 22nd August, 1927, that this claimant was not entitled to an old age pension as it was not clear on the evidence submitted that he had attained the statutory age. The only definite evidence submitted as to age was the record from the official marriage register that he was 32 years old when married on 14th November, 1891. The testimony submitted from neighbours was not considered sufficient to outweigh this definite record.
