Vol. 22 No. 2

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - FATAL MULLINGAR ACCIDENT.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he has completed his investigations into the circumstances which led to the death of Michael Daly, of Newdown, the Downs, Mullingar, who died as a result of being run down by an Army tender at Windmill Hill, Mullingar, on the night of the 9th September, 1922, and whether it is intended to compensate his parents, whose principal support he was; and further, whether the Minister is aware of the alleged refusal to allow writs to be served on the driver of the lorry.

I regret that the inquiries which I have caused to be made in this case are not yet completed. I hope to be in a position to communicate my decision to the Deputy shortly.
