The average cost per head per week for maintaining a convict prisoner at Mountjoy Prison during the year ended 31st March, 1927, was 13s. 2d. The average weekly cost per head for the Borstal Institute was 11s. 11d. There were no prisoners undergoing preventive detention during the year referred to.
