Vol. 22 No. 17

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - GALLWEY ESTATE (CO. WEXFORD).

asked the Minister for Fisheries whether he is aware that the tenants on the Gallwey estate, in the townland of Lacken, County Wexford, were amongst the first to settle with their landlord under the Land Act of 1923; that these tenants have not yet derived the full benefit of the said Act; and, if so, whether he will state the reason.

Maps and schedules of particulars of the 46 holdings situate in the townlands of Lacken and Great Island comprising the estate of Mrs. E.M. Gallwey have been lodged in the Land Commission to enable the estate to be dealt with under the Land Act, 1923. The estate is being dealt with as rapidly as possible, and the Commissioners anticipate that a provisional list of the lands which, if not excluded in consequence of a valid objection, will become vested in the Land Commission on the appointed day, and will be published at an early date.
