CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CONVEYANCE OF SCHOOL CHILDREN.

asked the Minister for Education if he will state to what districts in Co. Cavan grants are being made towards the provision of suitable means of conveyance for children to and from school, and the annual amount of such grants.

Grants have been paid for some years in aid of two van services for conveyance of children to school in Co. Cavan, viz.:—

At present applications are under consideration for grants in aid of:—

(a) A van service from Laragh and Lavey districts to Stradone National School; and

(b) A boat service across the River Erne to convey children from Bunanumery and Portruan districts to Derryvona National School, situated about three miles north of Belturbet.
