Vol. 23 No. 4

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - FLOODING AT ROOSKEY (ROSCOMMON).

asked the Minister for Finance whether any further inspection by a land valuer as to the area affected by the flooding of the River Shannon at Rooskey, County Roscommon, has taken place since last year; and whether he can state when the inspection will be completed, and when a scheme to reduce the flooding complained of will be formulated?

Mr. BOURKE

The report of the land valuer respecting the flooding of lands at Rooskey by the Shannon has now been received, and is at present under consideration by the Commissioners of Public Works, who are not yet, however, in a position to make a definite announcement as to whether a scheme can be formulated for the reduction of flooding in the area referred to.
