D'fhiafruigh

den Aire Puist agus Telegrafa ar frith fós le haghaidh Oifig an Phuist in Dúnfeannchaídh i gCo. Thír Chonaill congantóir atá oilte sa Ghaodhilg agus i gcúrsaí telegrafa.

An assistant qualified in Irish has been provided for the Dunfanaghy sub-office in compliance with the condition attaching to the sub-postmaster's appointment. The assistant is not at present qualified in telegraphy, but the operating telegraph work of the office will be attended to by the incoming sub-postmaster, who is a competent telegraphist.

Will the Parliamentary Secretary state whether the assistant was examined as regards her qualifications in the Irish language, and who were the examiners?

The assistant was examined for her qualifications in the Irish language and found properly qualified. I cannot state at the moment by whom she was examined.

Does the Parliamentary Secretary claim that the assistant who has been appointed is a properly qualified speaker of Irish and is capable of speaking in the Irish language with people in the Dunfanaghy Post Office?
