The applications referred to were received, but as there is as yet no exchange at Lifford, Messrs. Gallagher could not be provided with a telephone circuit. The sanction of the Minister for Finance has, however, been just received for the opening of an exchange at Lifford, and the work will be carried out as early as possible.
