Vol. 23 No. 7

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DERELICT KILDARE FARM.

asked the Minister for Fisheries if he is aware that the farm of Lipstown, Narraghmore, Co. Kildare, lately in the occupation of Mr. M. Valentine, and subject to a land annuity, is derelict, and if he will state what measures are being taken in regard to this holding.

The lands referred to comprise a holding in the townlands of Lipstown Upper and Ballybarney, which was purchased by the tenant under the Land Purchase Acts, and is the subject of a suit in the Courts. The interest of the representative of the tenant purchaser is being sold by order of the Court, and if the lands are not sold in the suit the Land Commission will themselves take steps to sell them.

Is the Parliamentary Secretary aware that this place is derelict and no one is looking after it?

The Land Commission is aware the place is derelict.
