Vol. 23 No. 10

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - THURLES OLD AGE PENSION CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he will give instructions to have the claim of Anthony McLaughlin, Foilnadrough, Thurles, for an old age pension at the full rate reconsidered by the local pension authorities.

I have no functions in old age pension cases unless they come before me on appeal. No appeal is at present before me in connection with this case. An application for an increase of pension is a matter in the first instance for the consideration of the local pension officer. If such an application has been made the Deputy might obtain any information he may desire by communicating with the Revenue Commissioners.
