The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The effects of a long-term loan policy in the matter of housing have been exhaustively examined. The Tullamore Council could not do otherwise than reiterate points of view with which I am already familiar. In the circumstances I would be reluctant to occupy their time. The matter is one of finance and is being considered.
