Vol. 24 No. 7

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - MILITARY SERVICE PENSION.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he can state if Batt Fogarty, U.S.A., formerly of Murreigh, Waterville, County Kerry, is the man described as Batt Fogarty, resident outside the Saorstát, in the list of names supplied by his Department as receiving a pension under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1925; and whether he can state the years of service and the service rendered during each particular year which entitle this man to such pension.

The person to whom a pension is being paid is Bartholomew Fogarty, formerly of Dromod, Waterville, Co. Kerry, and now in the U.S.A.

The years of service which entitle him to his pension make up the following periods:—

One-twelfth of period from 1st April 1920, to 31st March, 1921.

Entire period from 1st April, 1921, to 30th June, 1922.

Entire period from 25th August, 1922, to 30th September, 1923.

The Board of Assessors reported to me that Bartholomew Fogarty rendered service as required by the Military Service Pensions Act, 1924, throughout the above periods.
