Vol. 24 No. 7

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - OLD AGE PENSION CLAIMS (CO. MAYO).

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state why Patrick Moran (Peter), Derrygoe, Kiltimagh, has been refused the old age pension.

This case came up on appeal in December, 1927, on the ground of insufficient evidence of age. The appeal was determined on the 26th January, 1928, when the claim was disallowed, as it was not clear on the evidence submitted that the statutory qualification in this matter was fulfilled.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he will state why Bridget Bowens, Gowlaun, Kilkelly, Co. Mayo, has been refused the old age pension.

The Deputy's question possibly relates to the claim of Bridget Bones, Gowlane, Kilkelly, Co. Mayo, in whose case an appeal was decided on the 14th May, 1928, when a pension of eight shillings a week was allowed as from that date. This was the rate proposed by the Kilkelly Pension Sub-Committee.
