Vol. 25 No. 5

QUESTIONS ON THE ADJOURNMENT.

With regard to the question to be raised on the adjournment, I have notice from Deputy Davin that he intends to raise a general matter arising out of Question No. 8. Deputy Brady also desires to raise a matter arising out of Question No. 7, on the adjournment. It is not easy to find a solution except that Deputy Davin's is the more general question. Deputy Brady's question concerns public behaviour in a particular village. Deputy Davin's is a more general question dealing with the speed of buses, and would lead to legislation. I think that as Deputy Davin's is the more general question, Deputy Brady might give way to him.

I realise that Deputy Davin's question is a more general question, but perhaps you would give me permission to make a short statement about the conditions in Clondalkin just now.

I could not do it now, but we might be able to take the notice for to-morrow evening, if that would suit the Deputy.

That would be all right.

The situation in reference to matters raised on the adjournment is that there is really no machinery for settling the order of precedence. I will take Deputy Davin's question to-night and Deputy Brady's on to-morrow night.
