WRITTEN ANSWERS. - DAIL LOAN REPAYMENT CLAIMS.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he has received repeated applications for payment (with interest) of an amount of £3 subscribed to the Dáil Loan, 1919-20, by Mrs. Brigid Dooley (née Gorman), Glosha, Rathdowney, Leix, and if he is now prepared to sanction payment of the amount due.

An application was received on the 10th November, 1927, from Bridget Dooley, Glosha, Rathdowney, for repayment in respect of a sum stated to have been subscribed to the Dáil Eireann Internal Loan. A receipt was not furnished, and the particulars submitted in support of the application are not such as would enable me to authorise repayment.

If satisfactory evidence of payment of the subscription is furnished, the application will be further considered.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he has received repeated applications for payment of an amount of £5 (with interest) subscribed to the Dáil Eireann Loan, 1919-20, by Miss Mary Farrell, Cloneygowan, Portarlington, Offaly, and whether he is now prepared to sanction payment of the amount due.

Authority to issue a Savings Certificate to Miss Mary Farrell, of Cloneygowan, Portarlington, which will enable her to obtain repayment will be given to the Department of Posts and Telegraphs in due course.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he has received repeated representations from Mrs. Catherine Moore (representative of James Moore), Graigue, Ballylinan, Leix, requesting payment of an amount (with interest) subscribed to the Dáil Eireann Loan, 1919-20, and if he is now prepared to sanction payment of the amount due in this case.

Authority to issue a Savings Certificate in favour of Mrs. Catherine Moore as representative of James Moore, deceased, late of Graigue, Ballylinan, Leix, in respect of a subscription to the Dáil Eireann Loan, 1919-20, was recently given to the Department of Posts and Telegraphs.

asked the Minister for Finance if he has received repeated applications for payment of £1 (with interest) subscribed to the Dáil Loan, 1919-20, by Mrs. Bridget Bowes, Main Street, Birr, Offaly, and if he is now prepared to sanction payment of the amount due.

Several communications have been received from Mrs. Bowes, of Main Street, Birr, regarding a sum of £1 stated to have been subscribed to the Dáil Eireann Internal Loan. A receipt for the subscription has not been furnished and the particulars submitted in support of the application are not such as would enable me to authorise repayment.

If satisfactory evidence of payment of the subscription is furnished the application will be further considered.
