Vol. 27 No. 7

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CLONDALKIN PAPER MILLS.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether the Government are prepared to enter into negotiations with the former employees of the Clondalkin Paper Mills with a view to re-opening same under the direct management of the workers, subject to Governmental supervision.

The only powers given to me by the Dáil in the matter of assisting in the opening of an industrial enterprise are those contained in the Trade Loans (Guarantee) Acts. Any application made under those Acts by any person or persons for the re-opening of Clondalkin Paper Mills will have careful consideration.
