Vol. 27 No. 8

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - GRANGE LANDS (ROSCOMMON).

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he can now definitely state if it is the intention of the Land Commission to acquire the lands of Grange, on the C.H. Crofton estate, County Roscommon; and whether he can give any undertaking as to approximate date of sub-division of same.

The lands referred to appear to be a holding of 255 acres, situate in the townland of Grange, Co. Roscommon, which was purchased under the Land Purchase Acts, and is now in the possession of Louis P. Acheson. The Land Commission are considering the question of the acquisition of the lands in exchange for other lands, and if lands of not less value and suitable for exchange become available, negotiations with the owner will be carried out. I am not at present in a position to say when the lands may be divided.
