Vol. 29 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Postman's Retirement.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that the Post Office Authorities were agreeable to the release from service on May 19th, 1928, of Mr. James Roche, postman, Kilbrittain, Co. Cork, who has made an application for permission to retire under Article X of the Treaty, and if he can state when Mr. Roche's case will be dealt with and the necessary permission to retire granted.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. Consideration of Mr. Roche's application, in common with others of a similar kind, must await the setting up of the Statutory Tribunal to which I made reference in my statement to the House on the 20th February last.
