An expenditure of £13 4s. 6d. was incurred by the Co. Kerry Joint Technical Instruction Committee in this matter. This expenditure was borne by the local committee's funds, and no grant was made by the Department for the purpose.
In circumstances of this nature the Department does not consider itself justified in interfering unduly with the discretion of the responsible local committee.
Does not the Minister consider that, in the interests of reviving the Irish language, it is as essential to have the names of the schools—primary, secondary or technical—in Irish as having the names of the Post Offices in Irish?
