Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral—Answers. - Article 6 of the Treaty of 1921.

asked the Minister for External Affairs if he will state what steps, if any, have been taken to implement Article 6 of the Articles of Agreement for a Treaty of 1921, and if he will state, in view of the expiration of the period specified therein, the Government's policy in regard to the conference on coastal defence, and when it is expected that it will take place.

An examination of the matters arising out of Article 6 of the Treaty has been undertaken and a preliminary conference was held. No conclusions were reached at this conference, which was adjourned until a date to be later determined.
