Vol. 33 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Vesting of Kingwilliamstown Estate.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries when it is intended to vest the Clara Hartnett estate, Knocknaboul, Kingwilliamstown, Co. Kerry, and if he will give an assurance that the necessary bog passages to the twenty-two turbary plots on this estate will be constructed at an early date.

The prescribed schedules of particulars of the lands on the estate of Edward St. Clair Hartnett, comprising 23 holdings on the townlands of Shanavallen, Knocknaboul and Aghenscrinna have been lodged in the Land Commission under the Land Act, 1923, but as the estate has not yet been reached in its turn to be dealt with under the purchase provisions of the Act the Land Commission are not in a position to say when the holdings will be vested in the tenants. The question of the construction of bog passes to the turbary plot on the estate will receive consideration when the Land Commission are dealing with the estate.
