(Cork) asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state when applications for grants for house-building in the Gaeltacht of West Cork will be considered by the Department, and when inspectors under the Housing (Gaeltacht) Act, 1929, will visit the district.

Special attention is in the first instance being given to the Fíor-Ghaeltacht and to the areas of low valuation, for which three-fifths of the available money are reserved by the Act. The portions of West Cork fulfilling these conditions have already been visited by the inspector and a number of applications reported upon and sanctioned.
