Vol. 39 No. 4

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Richardson Estate (Co. Galway).

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he received a petition (for the making of a bog road on the Richardson Estate, Tyaquin, Co. Galway) from the Department of Local Government and Public Health on December 8th, 1930, and, if so, what consideration he has given to said petition, and is it his intention to do this very necessary work.

The memorial to which the Deputy refers (which was one forwarded to the Department of Local Government and Public Health) was duly received by the Land Commission and considered in connection with the relief schemes under the Vote for the Relief of Unemployment and Distress, but it was not found possible to undertake the work out of the Relief Vote. It will, however, be considered by the Land Commission in connection with improvement work on the re-sale of the Richardson Estate, which was purchased by the late Congested Districts Board.
