Vol. 46 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Leix Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether the Land Commission have yet acquired the lands of Mr. J.W.C. Scott, Annegrove, County Leix; whether a division scheme has been prepared and sanctioned by the Commissioners and when same is likely to be put into operation.

The offer made by the Land Commission for the lands on the Scott Estate at Annegrove has been accepted and a scheme for the division of the lands is at present in course of preparation. When this scheme has been completed, arrangements will be made to take over possession of the lands as soon as it is practicable to do so.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he can now state whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the Cremorgan (Moore) Estate, Timahoe, Stradbally, County Leix; whether a division scheme is being prepared in connection with same, and, if so, when the scheme is likely to be put into operation.

The Land Commission have not yet completed their inquiries regarding the lands of Cremorgan and are not therefore in a position at the present stage of the proceedings to state what action will be taken in the case.
