Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if the lands known as Daunt's Farm, Dawstown, Blarney, County Cork, have been acquired for division amongst uneconomic holders and landless men in the area, and if so, if he will state when it is proposed to divide these lands.

The Land Commission have had an inspection made of the lands of Dawstown, owned by Mr. John Daunt, and have decided that the case is not one in which further action towards acquisition is desirable for the present.

asked the Minister for Lands if it is proposed to acquire with a view to division the Clarbarricum and Craiguenasmutten Estates situated in the electoral division of Blandsford in the barony of Cullenagh, County Leix.

The lands in question are comprised, respectively, in the Estate of Reps. of Bridget Dooley and the Estate of Mary Hughes. The Land Commission have under consideration the question of the acquisition of the former estate, and an inspection is being made as regards the suitability of the lands for division.

The Land Commission have had under consideration the question of the acquisition of the latter estate and have decided to postpone further action for the present.
