I am informed by the Board of Works, who are responsible for providing barrack accommodation for the Gárda Síochána, that they are not yet in a position to state when it will be possible to proceed with the erection of a new barrack at Wexford.
In view of the wretched conditions under which the Gárda Síochána are housed in Wexford, will the Minister make inquiries on the matter and ask the Board of Works to have the erection of the new Gárda barracks expedited?
