asked the Minister for Justice if he will state whether the persons who attempted to blow up the gate piers at the house of a family named Knox, at Scotch Corner, County Monaghan, on the night of the 16th January, have been identified and charged, and if so, if he will state before what type of court they were charged, and if convicted what punishment was imposed.

In this case two employees of the family found some old ammunition hidden in a barn. They took it into the yard, and while examining it they caused some rounds of ammunition to explode. There was no damage done, nor does it appear that there was any malicious intent.
