Written Answers. - Unlawful Actions.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state whether the persons who are reported on the 7th January last to have attempted to destroy the Hall at Cloonturk, Dromod, County Leitrim, by means of a land mine, have been identified and charged; and if so, if he will state before what type of court they were charged, and if convicted what punishment was imposed.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state whether the persons, or person, who are reported on the 2nd January last to have attempted to blow up and badly damaged a cottage belonging to the Leix Board of Health, at Sentry Hill. Borris-in-Ossory, have been identified and charged, and if so, if he will state before what type of court they were charged, and if convicted what punishment was imposed.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state whether the persons who exploded bombs in the neighbourhood of Ballymullen Barracks, Tralee, on the night of 14th December last, have been identified and charged, and if so, if he will state before what type of court they were charged, and if convicted what punishment was imposed.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state whether the armed men who fired into the house of John Galvin, Moyasta, County Clare, on Sunday night, 3rd February, have been identified and charged, and whether the arms carried on the occasion have been traced and taken possession of by the police.

The answer to questions Nos. 31 to 34 inclusive is that no person has been charged in connection with any of these outrages and that investigations are proceeding.
