asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the total number of persons on the live register in each local employment office area, in the first week in July, August, September and October, and the number of such persons who were paid unemployment benefit and unemployment assistance in each respective week.
Céisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Live Register Returns.
A return showing the total number of persons on the live register in each local office area on the first Monday of July, 1935, and of the number in each such area who were paid unemployment assistance during the week preceding the first Monday in July was circulated with the Official Report of Parliamentary Debates of 18th July, 1935. A return showing similar particulars in regard to the first Monday in each of the months of August, September and October, 1935, will be circulated with the Official Report in reply to a question of Deputy Mulcahy, which is being answered to-day.
A return showing the total number of individuals paid unemployment insurance benefit in each local area during each of the weeks preceding the first Monday of each of the months of July, August, September and October, 1935, will also be circulated with the Official Report.
