In the counties of Cavan, Galway, Laoighis, Louth, Mayo, Offaly, Sligo and Wexford the repayments to the Guarantee Fund under the Land Purchase Acts of arrears of annuities exceeded the draws upon the fund in respect of new arrears of annuities that accrued at the May/June, 1935, and November/December, 1935, gales and accordingly there will be no portion of local taxation grant payable to these counties absorbed in the Guarantee Fund for the present financial year.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state for each county council area the amounts by which the deductions made from local taxation grants on the 31st January, 1935, have since been reduced by payments made to county councils as a result of outstanding annuities having been paid.

The information asked for by the Deputy will be circulated in the Official Report.

Following is the information:—As indicated in reply to previous question the repayments to the Guarantee Fund of arrears of annuities in eight counties exceeded draws upon the Guarantee Fund in respect of arrears accrued at the 1935 gales, and the net amounts recovered will be payable to these counties early in March. The amounts are as follows:—
