Mr. Norton

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he will state in respect of each of the years 1932 to 1935, inclusive, the number of working-class houses erected by the local authority for the purpose of letting in each of the four county boroughs and in the Borough of Dun Laoghaire; the number in course of erection at 31st December, 1935; the number of persons who in the period mentioned made application to the local authorities concerned for houses on a tenancy basis and the number of such applicants for whom accommodation had not been provided at 31st December, 1935.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he will state in respect of each of the years 1932 to 1935, inclusive, the number of houses erected by the town commissioners for the purpose of letting in each town having town commissioners; the number in course of erection at 31st December, 1935; the number of persons who in the period mentioned made application to the local authorities concerned for houses on a tenancy basis and the number of such applicants for whom accommodation had not been provided at 31st December, 1935.

The information asked for in questions 26, 27 and 28 with regard to the numbers of houses built and in course of construction is set out in the subjoined statement. There is no information in my Department regarding the number of applicants for houses during the period mentioned or the number of such applicants for whom accommodation had not been provided at 31st December, 1935.
