In connection with the collection of salmon and trout statistics which have been compiled for every alternate year since 1927, lists of the persons to whom rod licences were issued during the years 1931, 1933 and 1935, respectively, are available. It is very difficult to say whether the addresses given by such persons when applying for licences were permanent or temporary. I am having an effort made to extract the information sought by the Deputy, but the figures at best would be approximate. I will have it forwarded to him when completed.
Inasmuch as no collection of statistics was due for the year 1934, it is not practicable to furnish particulars of the holders of rod licences for that year.
