Vol. 62 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Compensation Payment.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state when it is proposed to pay to Patrick O'Neill, Old Church, Enniscorthy, the compensation awarded at the Wexford Circuit Court, under the Damage to Property (Compensation) Acts, over 12 months ago.

In reply to a question by the Deputy on the 26th June, 1935, I indicated that certain information in regard to this case had come into the possession of my Department which had not been before the Circuit Judge at the hearing of the claim. The case has since been the subject of close inquiry, but I am not yet in a position to indicate what payment can be authorised on foot of the recommendation of the Circuit Judge. There will be no avoidable delay in disposing of the case.
