asked the Minister for Education whether he can state, approximately, the amount of the capitation grant per pupil payable in respect of children in the infants' classes and first standard in schools in which payment is made by capitation.
The rates of grant per pupil to schools paid by capitation are given in rule 110 of the Rules and Regulations for National Schools and vary for different schools. These rates of grant are paid on the average attendance of all pupils, irrespective of class or standard. I am sending the Deputy a copy of the rules and regulations.
