Vol. 79 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Millers' Use of Irish Wheat.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the percentage of Irish wheat which millers were required to incorporate in their grist as on August 8th, 1939.

Holders of milling licences are not required by the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Acts to include a specified percentage of home-grown wheat in any particular grist. Within the cereal year ended 31st August, 1939, each holder of a milling licence was required to mill a quantity of home-grown wheat amounting to not less than 27½ per cent. of the milling quota allotted to his mill.
