asked the Minister for Justice if he will state in respect of each of the three months ended (1) the 30th June, 1939, (2) 30th September, 1939, and (3) 30th December, 1939, and each of the months of January, February and March, 1940, (a) the number of cases of house-breaking in the Dublin Metropolitan Gárda area, (b) the number of such cases for which persons have been charged, and the number of such persons, (c) the number of cases in which such persons have been convicted and sentenced, and the number of such persons, and (d) the number of such cases in respect of which no person has been arrested or charged.
